Situated at one end of a row of flint cottages, Hope Cottage is situated in the heart of Long Melford, a village so-named because it is reputed to have the longest village street in Britain. It is one of Suffolk’s old wool villages and has an abundance of boutique shops, inns and restaurants and a beautiful village green overlooked by an impressive mediaeval church.
The village is also privileged to have two stately homes, Melford Hall and Kentwell Hall, which are both well worth a visit
