Tucked away in a sheltered corner, Hope Cottage is a Grade II listed brick and flint cottage built in around 1850 and has been renovated and attractively decorated and furnished throughout. Many finishing touches make the cottage feel extremely homely. Full gas central heating complemented by an open fire makes it cosy and comfortable even in the wintertime.
The sitting room has an original Suffolk pamment stone floor with a large rug, comfortable sofas and an open log fire. There is a flat-screen colour TV with Freeview, DVD player, stereo CD/radio/cassette player and iPod dock – we have also equipped the cottage with a selection of DVDs, CDs, books, magazines and board games for your enjoyment. A telephone is also installed for your convenience.
There is a spacious and light kitchen/dining room looking out onto the pretty walled garden which, in turn, backs onto meadowlands. The kitchen is fully equipped with modern equipment including microwave and electric oven and hob, yet retains a traditional feel with old-style design including a Butler sink and wooden work surfaces.
